GAME AUCTION PREVIEW

A total of 2 656 animals on offer at Game Auction National Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism Valli Moosa and Economic Affairs, 
Environment and Tourism MEC Enoch Godongwana will be among the high profile guests to officiate at the game auction to be held at Thomas 
Baines Nature Reserve near Grahamstown on Saturday, June 2, 2 001. The auction, which will offer a combined Boma and Catalogue sale, is to 
be co-hosted by the Eastern Cape Tourism Board and the Chief Directorate of Environmental Affairs.

The Boma Auction will consists 10 Elands, seven Blue Wildebeests, 10 Waterbucks, 10 Mountain Zebras, eight Red Lechwes, seven Wildebeests, 
seven Buffalos and four Buffalo Bulls. Among those in the Catalogue Sale will be 100 Kudus and over 400 Impalas.

A total of 2 656 animals will be on offer on the day, one of the biggest game auctions in the province. The animals come from various game 
reserves in the  Eastern Cape. Those include Mpofu, Tsolwana, Karoo, Double Drift Commando   Drift, Oviston and Sam Knott.

Prospective buyers will be allowed to view our Bomas at Thomas Baines and Andries Vosloo Kudu Reserve between 8am and 11.45am while 
registration will start at 9am. The actual auction starts at 12 noon sharp.

Cultural items and a lucky weekend draw for two at the Double Drift Game Reserve will also feature on the day's programme.

Thomas Baines Nature Reserve in situated about 120km from Port Elizabeth on the N2 to Grahamstown. R343, Salem/Kenton on Sea turn-off, 
which is 12km   from Grahamstown leads to the reserve. Auctions signs will be on display for   direction purposes.
